Every month we present new features. This May isn’t an exception. We’ve prepared something really huge! It’s the Text Editor tool – part of the ASO Editor feature. Your work on the text ASO couldn’t be easier now. You can accomplish all steps in one window. Plus we added four new locales at your requests and improved keywords welcome pack. More details below!
Text Editor tool
This tool allows you to work on text ASO super productively whether you are a beginner or a professional. You can cover the maximum of keywords, concern with the principles of text optimization, and localize the metadata as well. All this in one tool. Let’s take a look.
Easily audit your text ASO
Explore the current state of your text ASO first:
- Keywords included in your text elements (they are highlighted).
- Their number and popularity.
- How you are indexed by them.
- How many characters used/left.
The template with your current text ASO appears automatically. In this example, you can see that only 6 keywords are involved. Plus there are a lot of free characters left. That means you should include more keywords. They have a big impact on ranking located in the title and both short and full descriptions (speaking of Google Play).
Learn tips to get more insights
Check out the Appy tips. They may concern the number of characters, recommendations to add more keywords, insights on ranking, spam, Search Volume, and much more. Appy is the right hand of our ASO department, so you can trust his expertise. 🙂
Collect the semantic core
Your tracked keywords will automatically appear on the right. The ones already used in metadata are highlighted. You can expand the list using Keywords Explorer, Proposed Keywords, or add keywords manually. Start with keywords suggested by the platform, if you are new. We’ve improved our keywords welcome pack by the way. More details at the end of the post.
Analyze the priority of keywords before adding them to metadata. Search Volume score on the right will help you. It indicates the keyword search popularity in the selected locale. Also, pay attention to the rank. It’s the position of your app in search result by a keyword. Match these metrics to choose the most suitable keywords.
Compose text elements
Create drafts of your text ASO, experimenting with text ASO strategies. You can make up to 5 templates per app. Switch between templates to easily track changes.
You can see the second template is better optimized. 5 more keys involved + improved title and short description.
Compare drafts at the preview
Click «Preview» to watch how your drafts will look in the store.
Analyze the indexation after an update
Tracking your upshots is important. Click Past Results in the Search Results tab to observe the dynamics of your indexing by the selected keyword.
Work on App Store apps is built in much the same way. It differs by text elements.
Localize your metadata
The final bonus is localization assistance. We added a translator to help you. Switch to other locales to find the keywords. Verify their relevance by translating keywords into English or Russian, depending on the interface language.
Improved keywords welcome pack
The process of selecting relevant keywords is complicated since apps can index by thousands of search queries. To find high-quality and relevant ones among them, you need to make a lot of effort. Now, the formula for selecting welcome keywords takes into account not only indexing but also popularity and positions by them.
